Summer transfer market according to top football agent Jon Smith: "The interesting thing is that the Premier League have decided to pay the clubs earlier this year, partly, I guess, because of the European Championships. It's going to be a bit convoluted. What will happen is you'll have a spree and then a decline of activity as people wait for the European Championships, and then it will pick up again towards the end of July. Arsenal, Liverpool, Chelsea, Manchester City will be the busiest I suspect. Of the ones coming up, probably Middlesbrough. The rest will be prudent. It's about the valuations of football clubs and how people want to build their businesses, not just about success on the field any more."

"You have the top five, six clubs very well organised and well owned, and then you have a number of very interested parties around the world looking at Premier League clubs at potential investments. So the clubs in the middle - for example Stoke, West Brom, Swansea and Southampton to a lesser degree - are going to look at their balance sheets and not want to degrade those by overly spending too early with player commitments on their books. They want to keep their books in good shape just in case one of these 'high-net-worths' come up."

Mesut Ozil, who is in Dubai to visit Arsenal's football school there, said that the team must be more focused and make some reinforcements to prevent the same thing from happening again next year.

"It's a long season and a lot of things must go right in the season. One of the things is players getting injured, which is one factor definitely. On the other hand we just have to focus more and with stronger players maybe coming in be competitive for next season and we will see where we end up at the end."

Granit Xhaka has all but confirmed he will leave Borussia Monchengladbach:

"There will be regular talks now and a final decision will be made before Euro 2016" Xhaka told Bild when questioned about his future. "I started my Borussia career in the DFB-Pokal against Darmstadt. I then had four wonderful years here. And now I played what could have been my last game for Gladbach against Darmstadt, too. The circle has been closed."

Gladbach director Max Eberl is adamant the club are keen to hold on to the midfielder, but they are ready to cash in on Xhaka if the price is right.

"Of course, we want Granit to stay" Eberl stated. "But we know that there are a number of interested clubs. And there could be a point where we will have to say yes to a deal."

Tomas Rosicky: “It was an amazing [reception from the fans] - if you spend 10 years somewhere it is really difficult as you are so attached to the club. It is unbelievable. It is very difficult to say goodbye after 10 years when you know everyone at the club. All the young English guys when I came here grew up alongside me, I have seen them since they were 16 years old basically - Jack, Theo, the Ox, Aaron and Kieran Gibbs, so many. I have seen them grow from little lads to the big players they are now and this makes me proud that I had an influence on their growth and education. That is why it is really difficult to leave.”

Flamini vrode bi tot pleacă , da ceremonia ceea după meci era vrode kak era pentru Arteta si Rosea, nu-i oare o alegere personală a lui Flamini intr-un fel oarecare sa nu-i fie dedicata și lui ? dacă e așa atunci tot respectul Mathieu.
nu cunosc toate detaiile cum a plecat la Milan , da am mai observat cum nu toti erau bucurosi la revenirea lui in 2013 , anyway , thank you, Flamini .

Eu in luna februarie-martie, cu cateva saptamani inainte de a aparea zvonurile, spuneam ca in acest sezon am atras atentia asupra acestui jucator si imi place.. de aceea si era foarte scump cotat. Cu plecarea lui Flamini si Arteta, taman ar fi tare v temu un asa transfer.. Numai sa nu sa se primeasca ca pleaca la City. Era si asa un zvon.

Piata de transferuri se strica cu pasi din ce in ce mai rapizi. Daca 3 ani in urma cu 50 milioane puteai cumpara un Suarez, care s-a dovedit a fi cel mai bun atacant in ultimii ani, si inca parea o suma mai mare decat ar trebui, pai acum toti cer pe alde Morata, Lukaku de la 50 milioane in sus. Daca Suarez era un transfer fara nici un risc, stiind ca va performa conform cerintelor, pai alde Morata reprezinta un risc.. El are talent, e rapid, are tehnica de sut, dribbling, etc. , insa nu-ti poate garanta ca va inscrie destul.
