В вымышленном городе в Калифорнии происходит убийство, жертвой которого становится никто иной как мэр города Рэй Каспар. Что стало причиной трагедии? Возможно, замешаны лица, заинтересованные в строительстве сверхскоростного поезда, который соединит северную и южную часть штата. Строительство сулит огромные доходы и гранты от государства. Владельцы земель, по которым пройдет дорога, также не останутся внакладе.

Когда речь идет о деньгах, коррупция процветает, но это лишь одна из причин убийства. Расследование громкого преступления ведут представители разных государственных служб, располагающихся в нескольких городах штата. Каждый из главных героев решает и свои собственные проблема. 30-летняя женщина-шериф из Монтерея слишком много пьет и увлекается азартными играми. Герой Колина Фаррелла сидит на кокаине и не умеет сдерживать гнев. Третий участник расследования, молодой патрульный, был отстранен из-за сексуальной связи с юной девушкой.

Ehhh, ce păcat , ce păcat că sa terminat acest serial, azi am privit și eu ultimele doua episoade, Rust - tare o sa lipsească personajul lui în sezonul 2, demult nu am urmarit un actor cu atîta pasiune. Cît despre sfîrșit, am așteptat parcă ceva mai mult deznodamînt, prea ușor parcă sa rezolvat, dar totuși impresionant a fost Așteptăm sezonul 2.

The second season of True Detective will follow the death of Ben Caspar, the corrupt City Manager of a fictional California city who’s found brutally murdered amidst a potentially groundbreaking transportation deal that would forever change the freeway gridlock in California.

Three law enforcement officers from different cities and branches of the government are tasked with finding out who did it. They soon discover their investigation has much broader and darker implications than they initially thought.

Caspar’s 52-year-old corpse is found on a lonely stretch of the PCH near Big Sur - his eye burned out, genitals cut off and satanic symbols etched on his chest. It turns out he had a penchant for rough sex and may have been involved in the occult.

Colin Farrell Has Confirmed His Role In ‘True Detective’

Rachel McAdams Closes In On Female Lead Role

Rachel McAdams is said to be locking down the lead role in season 2 of HBO’s “True Detective.”

Sources tell Variety HBO has offered McAdams the part opposite Colin Farrell and Vince Vaughn. Taylor Kitsch is expected to land the role of the fourth lead.

Though HBO recently announced Farrell and Vaughn as the shows leads, sources say it is the female lead that many believe will have a similar response to fans that Matthew McConaughey’s part as Rust Cohle had in season 1.

Тейлор Китч ("Джон Картер") подтвердил свое участие во втором сезоне детективной драмы канала HBO "Настоящие детективы". Об этом актер рассказал в своем интервью изданию Adweek.
"Я только что начал готовиться к роли. Прошел целый год с тех пор, как я в последний раз стоял перед камерой, так что у меня все зудит от нетерпения. Давно пора начать работу", - заявил Китч.
Ранее на главные роли во втором сезоне были утверждены кандидатуры Колина Фаррелла и Винса Вона. Режиссер четырех частей франшизы "Форсаж" Джастин Лин снимет два первых эпизода из восьми. Сценарий, как и к первому сезону, написал создатель шоу Ник Пиццолатто. В центре второго сезона окажутся два офицера полиции и профессиональный преступник, которые общими усилиями должны раскрыть заговор после совершенного убийства.
В конце сентября издание Variety со ссылкой на свои источники сообщило, что Рэйчел МакАдамс получила приглашение сыграть в телепроекте главную женскую роль. На момент написания данной заметки официального подтверждения этой новости пока не было.
О втором сезоне, действие которого происходит в Калифорнии в наши дни, Китч сказал следующее: "Мне очень понравился первый сезон шоу. История была такой настоящей, что могла произойти в действительности. Второй сезон в этом плане очень похож на первый, и мне это по вкусу".

HBO has rounded out the cast of “True Detective,” tapping Kelly Reilly for a key role as wife of the crime boss played by Vince Vaughn.

Reilly will play Jordan, described as a former D-list actress who is an active partner in the criminal enterprises run by her husband, Frank Semyon.

HBO has also confirmed at long last that Taylor Kitsch and Rachel McAdams are co-starring the sophomore season of “True Detective” opposite Vaughn and Colin Farrell. Production on the eight-episode season has begun in California, HBO said Monday.

Variety first reported that McAdams was in talks for the role in September. Taylor Kitsch also said himself last month that he was joining the cast.

Kitsch plays Paul Woodrugh, a war veteran and motorcycle officer for the California Highway Patrol on the run from a difficult past.

McAdams is Ani Bezzerides, a Ventura County Sheriff’s detective whose uncompromising ethics put her at odds with others and the system she serves. Presumably, she goes up against Farrell’s Ray Velcoro, who is described as a corrupt detective ruled by Semyon.
