According to US(see the list below), The O.C. is the best teen drama TV show ever made. As Sandy Cohen said on Caleb's funeral at the end of second season: "It may be gone, but it won't be soon forgotten." Gossip Girl is an upcoming American television teen drama based on the popular novel series of the same name written by Cecily von Ziegesar. Gossip Girl revolves around the lives of socialite young adults growing up on New York's Upper East Side who attend elite academic institutions whilst dealing with sex, drugs, and other teenage issues. Featuring an ensemble cast, the series mainly centers around the lives of former best friends, Serena van der Woodsen (Blake Lively) and Blair Waldorf (Leighton Meester), and their shared romantic interest, Nate Archibald (Chace Crawford). As outsiders looking in, Dan (Penn Badgley) and Jenny Humphrey (Taylor Momsen) do not run in the same social or financial circles as their peers but are drawn into their lives nonetheless. The series is narrated by a seemingly omniscient character, "Gossip Girl" (voiced by Kristen Bell), who runs a blog about her fellow Upper East Siders consequently stirring the pot and creating potential rivalries in this exclusive and vicious circle of friends.[1]

The show is created by Josh Schwartz, the creator of The O.C., and Stephanie Savage, who also serve as executive producers alongside Bob Levy and Leslie Morgenstein.[2] It is produced by CBS Paramount Network Television, Warner Bros. Television, College Hill Productions and Alloy Entertainment.

It will first air on September 18, 2007 in Canada, airing on Tuesday nights at 8:00/7:00c on CTV before premiering in the U.S. a day later on September 19, 2007, airing on Wednesday nights at 9:00/8:00c on The CW, following America's Next Top Model.[1][3]
