Green Day is an American rock band formed in 1989. The band consists of three core members: Billie Joe Armstrong (guitar, lead vocals), Mike Dirnt (bass) and Tré Cool (drums). Green Day was originally part of the punk rock scene at 924 Gilman Street in Berkeley, California. Its early releases for independent label Lookout! Records earned them a grassroots fanbase, some of whom felt alienated when the band signed to a major label. Nevertheless, its major label debut Dookie became a breakout success in 1994 and eventually sold over 10 million copies in the U.S. alone. As a result, Green Day was widely credited, along with fellow California punk bands The Offspring and Rancid, with reviving mainstream interest in and popularizing punk rock in the United States. Green Day's three follow-up albums, Insomniac, Nimrod and Warning did not achieve the massive success of Dookie, but they were still successful, reaching double platinum, double platinum and gold status respectively. Foxboro Hot Tubs has been confirmed as Green Day. While the band's history is, as yet, unknown, they are comprised of the members of Green Day , who are performing "garage" music under a nom de plume. Fans of Foxboro Hot Tubs have noted, on the band's MySpace site, many musical similarities between the band and Green Day. Among the common traits listed are Billie Joe Armstrong's "unmistakable" vocals and guitar playing, and a rhythm section which recalls the sound of Green Day's own Mike Dirnt and Tre Cool.[4] On December 8, 2007, Foxboro Hot Tubs' official website released the band's debut EP, Stop Drop and Roll, in streaming and downloadable mp3 formats, free of charge to the listener. Five days later, on December 13, the mp3s were taken off the website, which then displayed just a clock. The mp3s were reinstated on December 16, but were again removed and replaced with the clock; later the website was changed to simply redirect to the band's MySpace. Soon after this the song "Mother Mary" became a hit on alternative rock radio, hitting #16 on the Billboard Modern Rock Tracks chart. The name "The Foxboro Hot Tubs" was explained in an email that was sent to MTV News: "The Foxboro Hot Tubs were a place we used to sneak booze and chicks into late at night. Some have compared the band's sound to more modern acts, such as The Strokes, The Hives, Arctic Monkeys, Wir sind Helden and The Fratellis - all of whom share common influences with Foxboro Hot Tubs. Initial reports described the record as having a "'60s style" sound.[5]. On March 25, 2008 six more song titles were revealed and one new song "The Pedestrian" appeared on the band's myspace. The band's site now confirms that "The Pedestrian" will be the album's next single. Imi place ca is profesionisti, si live canta foarte bine. Dar muzica lor n-o pot asculta prea mult timp. Un mare neza4et lor ca au luat Wonderwall de la Oasis si au transformat-o in Boulevard of Broken Dreams. Poate si e doar o asemanare, dar din prima data cum am auzit piesa am zis ca e fix Wonderwall. #70 groover, Nu se aseamănă Boulevard Of Broken Dreams cu Wonderwall, IMO. Accordurile se asemănă oleacă însă nu-s fix așa + (nuștiu cum în română se numește) "бой" e altfel. btw, single-u Know Your Enemy a ajuns pe Billboard pe primul loc și cele mai populare jurnale de muzică din SUA au dat note mai mari noului album decît American Idiot.
