Japanese rock (sometimes abbreviated J-rock) is the Japanese form of rock music. Since the actual musical style can differ greatly from one work to another, Japanese rock only qualifies as a music genre in so far as it describes where given artist or band originates from and in which language titles and lyrics probably are. Slate.com points out that "Japan's long been a music geek's paradise, a Valhalla of reverent remasters of American and British albums that time and fashion have passed by in their native lands", and as a result, "Japan's bands are by turns bracingly experimental and jubilantly retro, a land where our own greatest music returns with an alienated majesty." Visual kei (ヴィジュアル系, vijuaru kei, literally "visual style" ) refers to a movement in Japanese popular culture characterized by the use of eccentric, sometimes flamboyant looks. This usually involves striking make-up, unusual hair styles and elaborate costumes, often, but not always, coupled with androgyny or distinctively feminine or bishōnen aesthetics.
These looks have enjoyed popularity especially in Japanese music, ranging from independent underground projects to artists achieving mainstream success, with similarities to and influences from European and American genres like new wave, punk and glam rock. Magazines published regularly in Japan with a visual kei focus include Arena 57°C, Fool's Mate and Shoxx, noted bands who at least at some point sported a visual kei theme include Luna Sea, Malice Mizer and X Japan.

As of 2007, it has released six full-length records and is among the handful of Japanese bands to have enjoyed notable success in Europe and North America. #4256 OkyHb, It's way to overrated 'cause like everybody knows them and thinks that they are gods of J-Rock, every 15-year old girl gets her panties wet after hearing the vocalist sappy voice and there not so good guitar playing. They have couple of "I THINK I WON'T GO DEAF SONGS" but it still sux, they are like Metallica but less talented x)))))

#4259 Brea, First of all, not everybody knows them, secondly, his voice is not sappy, thirdly, they have some really good songs (especially their ballads) that are really great. And lastly, but not the least, do you realize that when you compare a band with Metallica you're actually saying the band is really awesome? The question is "Why do you hate them so much?"..
PS: The guitar overall is good, and they do really good music.
TLDR; the GazettE is a good band, and their songs and ratings prove it.

So basically I had nothing to do while listening to J-Rock, and decided to translate some of the lyrics and write a poem.. here it is..
I’m now in my final autumn, comprehending powerlessness
All of the dreams are dissolved into nothingness
As days are passing by, I know there is no other choice
If only, for the last time, I could hear your affable voice
Loneliness drenched in the falling leaves
A wintry desolate sky, now it grieves
Ideals swimming on the surface are starting to sink below
I threw them away; drowning, feeling so cold..
Lingering memories blur, everything turns grey
I recall my past, under the pouring rain:
"You’re by my side, you're my light ray
We just stay together and there's nothing to say
But I'm happy, 'cause you smile at me
We walk together as far as we can see
Without a question, you stay by my side
The two of us simply gaze at the light."
In this tranquil autumn I become ash, scattering into pieces.
I dissappear without a trace, my existence here ceases
A small heartbeat, that is not there; the rain stopped for a while
In the end you will remain as a dream that always made me smile..
And so, I depart for the skies as I adrift on the wind
I close my eyes and leave nothing behind
Wipe away your tears, you don’t have to be sad
Goodbye, don’t forget me; its still not the end
I hope you don’t waste away your future in tears
I love you, but dreams are just dreams..
Sorry for everything, please live many years
Our withered poem came to an end, so it seems..
Your body temperature is fading away
Seeing you like this makes me decay
You keep staring, forgetting to blink
In nothingness your eyes are starting to sink
I hold your cold hand and your fingers
The faint feeling of loss still lingers
You didn’t have any doubts, under the rain
The spring time will never come again
I watch you with sorrowful eyes
I want to think that this all is a lie
I scream many times, until I lose my voice
Your dead body makes absolutely no noise
I'm looking at you with a sad face
Tears are falling down apace..
It seems like you are going to forget
Our pain and tears that overlapped like a thread
Nothing will not return you to me
There's no more future I want to see
The memories were torn apart one by one
You were everything, you were my sun
My voice is no longer able to reach you
I hold you close, so that I won’t forget you.
I hold your cold hand, I close my eyes
I'm going to always be by your side
As I take my last breath into the nether
I know that soon we will be together
It won’t be long until we turn into shadows
Becoming the darkness; our dreams were too shallow..
