Ubuntu este un sistem de operare bazat pe Linux, disponibil gratuit cu suport din partea comunităţii cât şi suport profesional.

Comunitatea Ubuntu este construită pe baza ideilor expuse în Manifestul Ubuntu: acest software trebuie să fie disponibil gratuit (fără a se percepe nici o taxă), instrumentele software trebuie să fie folosite de oameni în limbile lor natale şi în ciuda oricăror invalidităţi, iar acei oameni ar trebui să aibă libertatea să adapteze şi să modifice software-ul pe care îl deţin în orice mod consideră ei că li se potriveşte mai mult.

Aceste libertăţi fac Ubuntu fundamental diferit de programele tradiţionale proprietare: nu numai că instrumentele pe care le folosiţi sunt gratuite, dar aveţi şi libertatea să modificaţi software-ul până în momentul în care funcţionează aşa cum doriţi dumneavoastră.

#6173 vitalife, "... Dupa restart a aparut problema ca nu ma mai pot loga, am incercat cu "startx" dar imi da eroare ..." - e și normal să primești erroare, dacă încerci să reporneși X-ul. mai multe detalii despre problemele care au apărut.. unde se blochează ce afișează ce și cum..

flienteen, ok, deci de la inceput am incercat sa ma loghez nu am putut, am incercat prin tty mam logat si am introdus startx, si in rezultat a aparut eroarea cu "Fatal server error:..." , am mai incercat dupa asta alte comenzi ca restart gdm service, dpkg-reconfigure xserver-xorg-core, si iata ce contine Xorg.log

flienteen, deci startx -- :1 - ecranul intii apare un blink parca sar porni apoi se face negru si asa ramine, ii dau ctrl+alt+f7 si se intoarce la login screen, apoi iar ctrl+alt+f1 "No Protocol Specified . . " si tot asa. Own-ul la /home/vitali/.Xauthority -rw------- 1 root root.

Inainte de a aparea problema data am folosit Apport si aveam niste probleme cu nautilus-ul, acum la moment numai cite nu am incercat, am dezinstalat metacity si apoi nu lam putut instala imi spune ca

, nu inteleg dece nu se conecteaza la internet.
#flienteen, am facut tot ce miai scris, daca vrei sa afli daca a aparut fereastra de unde sa configurez Xserver-ul nu a aparut.Dupa gdm start ma trimite catre login screen, si atit mai departe aceeasi poveste nu ma pot loga. Am incercat altceva, am intrat in recovery mode si acolo in ttyl am scris startx dupa care se porneste terminal ca fereastra, apoi ctrl+alt+f1, au aparut

Cind sunt in tty pot sa ma loghez tot normal, dupa ce am dat comenzile scrise de tine, sa pornit modul grafic cu geamul unde tre sa introduc loginul si parola , o introduc si ecran negru si iar acelasi fereastra de logare.
Si aceste errori sunt si in Xorg.0.log

poți încercă să creezi un user nou, și să încerci să te loghezi pe el, să vezi ce o să se întîmple..

#6198 flienteen, totul depinde de distro... în ubuntu nu am idee cum funcționează useraddul.. de aia am scris, pentru orice eventualitate...

useradd se comportă diferit în *bsd, Arch, gentoo %)
și, caatare, pentru a auto-crea folder în /home, tre de băgat argumentul -m... în unele distrouri el se interpretează ca setat, by default...
