AC Milan Want Getafe Winger Pedro Leon - Report
Jun 7. The youngster remains on the Rossoneri's wish-list...

AC Milan are hot on the trail of Getafe right winger Pedro Leon, according to sports daily AS.

The 23-year-old arrived at the Coliseum Alfonso Perez from Valladolid only last summer, but he has already garnered much affection from across Europe.

Leon is believed to be courted by Milan, Real Madrid and Sevilla after a sensational first season at Getafe in which he scored eight goals in La Liga and was the competitions's third top-provider with nine assists.

In March, reports indicated that Milan had made an offer for Leon which the player rejected as he preferred to wait for the end of the season before commiting his future.

The Rossoneri are now understood to be back in the race for Leon, whose release clause is set at just €10 million.

‘The Duck’ is the latest player to give his blessing to the former Cagliari coach...
Massimiliano Allegri has been tipped to take over as coach of Milan for some time now but there are no new official developments with regards to the Rossoneri bench.

Despite the state of inertia, it seems that all those at Milanello are convinced that the former Cagliari man will soon be in charge of the Diavolo. Alexandre Pato was just another player to give his approval to the potential arrival of Allegri when he spoke to GazzettadelloSport.

“He [Allegri] produced two great seasons with Cagliari,” declared ‘The Duck’.

“I like the work he is known for with young players. We mustn’t forget the great job Leonardo did here at Milan however, and also [Mauro] Tassotti has been a great servant to the club.”

The Brazilian then had his say on the summer transfer market and how he expects to go through the World Cup after being overlooked by coach Dunga.

“My agent is in charge of all things to do with the market, and he know how happy I am at Milan. The club has full say on my future and for the moment I have heard nothing, so I don’t think there have been offers for me.

“I will be watching the World Cup in contrast to what Ronaldinho has planned to do. I intend to get behind my Brazil and my friends who are playing for their various countries.

AC Milan Are Ready To Invest In A World Class Player - Adriano Galliani
Galliani has promised at least one major signing...

AC Milan vice-president Adriano Galliani has said the club has money to spend during the transfer market and it will be reapportioned to ensure a top class player arrives.

Galliani didn't spell out how much was available to the club's future coach, likely to be Massimiliano Allegri, but he did confirm the Rossoneri's plans to improve the squad.

"If someone was to arrive then it would be a great player. We are ready to invest in a great champion," Galliani told Sky Sport 24.

One champion who has been linked with Milan is Barcelona's Zlatan Ibrahimovic. Mino Raiola, his agent, said the striker was unlikely to leave Spain for Serie A, and Galliani has explained why.

"Ibrahimovic? His wages are too high for him to come back to Italy," he added.

"We will be keeping [Klaas-Jan] Huntelaar because he wants to stay."

AC Milan are preparing a bid for highly-rated Argentinean defender Nicolas Otamendi , according to Italian newspaper La Gazzetta dello Sport.

The Rossoneri are reportedly willing to pay Velez Sarsfield 12 million euros for Otamendi but face competition from Bayern Munich and Real Madrid.

Velez are believed to be holding out for 20 million euros for the young defender who seems likely to start as right back for Argentina during the World Cup.
