Dear Readers,

Yesterday, Yen Press announced they have licensed Overlord. I will now explain what that means, what is going to happen, and what we will do.
The licensing mean that Yen Press will be publishing an official English version of Overlord, and the author will receive a cut of the money for every purchase. Supporting the author will give him the incentive to produce more quality works in the future and giving his due for the works he has already published, so please do so.

With the licensing, this blog will receive a DMCA in the future if we keep the translations on site, and will be shut down if we do not comply. I did some research on a previous incident of the translator of Danmachi who refused to give in. Here is what happened.

Yen Press announced the licensing of Danmachi on 19 April 2014, released Volume 1 in December 2014, and the translator of Danmachi received a DMCA on 3rd February 2015. After playing hide and seek with Yen Press for a while, the wordpress and all other related sites for the translation was shut down 3 weeks later.

Which means that we are given plenty of time to tie up loose ends. To get an idea on how to go about it, I made reference to Baka-Tsuki’s Cessation Policy. Since they are a major site, they have a lot of rules and nuances, but we can be more flexible since we are just a small time player.

What we are going to do is cease further fan translations about 5 months before the release of Overlord Volume 1 by Yen Press. The announced date for the release of Volume 1 is Spring/Summer 2016, so the earliest release date is probably June 2016. Working backwards, all fan translation will stop by 31st December 2015. We should have caught up with all the released volumes by then.

#26174 RaduKris, Sincer, eu îl văzusem la TV mult timp în urmă, nu mai țin minte. Plus la asta, eu nici nu-s sigur că s-au explicat amănunțit, pentru că seria Slayers are de fapt și anime, și manga, etc etc.

Da ce-i cu interesul ăsta brusc? Vă dați în șamani? luați-mă și pe mine :lol:

p.s. Spuneți un anime-două cu target audience 16+ (Nu anume că ecchi, dar ceva mai serios) :/
