"Abbiamo fatto molto bene e devo dire che il nostro allenatore è stato molto molto bravo. Siamo stati bravi a impedirgli di entrare in area. Questa sera abbiamo fatto tutti una partita perfetta. Anche l’anno scorso non abbiamo demeritato. Ce la giochiamo con il Barcellona ed è quello che insisto a dire. Il Barcellona ha grande rispetto di noi e quando dicono che temono il Milan e lo rispettano è vero e quando giochiamo queste partite anche la nostra storia conta. Se penso a dove eravamo dopo 8 partite. Il calcio è bello perché non sai mai cosa succede e credo che neanche il più ottimista dei tifosi pensasse a una cosa così. Dobbiamo dedicare questa vittoria al presidente Berlusconi perché oggi sono 27 anni della sua presidenza e i tifosi del Milan devono sapere chi ringraziare. Il Milan allora era in una situazione economica che tutti sappiamo il Presidente Berlusconi l’ha preso e l’ha portato in cima al mondo. I nostri tifosi dovrebbero ricordarlo sempre, anche quando perdiamo con la Sampdoria in casa, non solo quando vinciamo con il Barcellona. Dico ai nostri tifosi di ringraziare la persona che ha portato il Milan da un’aula di tribunale a essere il club più titolato al mondo. Per vincere queste partite devi avere grandi tifosi, un grande stadio, una grande storia, una grande tradizione. Ricordo la finale che il Milan ha perso nel 1958 contro il Real Madrid. Noi abbiamo una tradizione molto solida e anche le squadre ti guardano con un certo rispetto. Lo stadio quando è pieno incute timore e mette pressione. Quest’estate abbiamo cercato una tipologia di giocatori diversi rispetto a quelli che cercavamo di solito e quello che è successo stasera è straordinario e resterà sempre nel nostro palmares. Siamo stati un po’ timidi in attacco nel primo tempo, il gol ci ha sbloccato. Poi c’è questa caratteristica di quest’anno dove nel secondo tempo facciamo meglio. Muntari l’ho perdonato stasera, è venuto ad abbracciarmi alla fine della partita. Ho guardato per un attimo il guardalinee, poi ho visto che correva verso il centrocampo e che il gol era valido. Abbiamo fatto una partita perfetta e non vorrei citare nessun giocatore perché hanno fatto tutti bene. Poi Niang è entrato con una personalità fantastica. Bella partita, grande determinazione e mi è piaciuto il carattere".

"Sono molto contento, una partita straordinaria sul piano difensivo, non concedendo nulla al Barcellona. Abbiamo sbagliato e sciupato qualche passaggio, poi nel secondo tempo la squadra si è sbloccata, ha avuto la pazienza di trovare il momento giusto per colpire. I ragazzi hanno capito cosa gli chiedevo, si sono messi a disposizione l'uno con l'altro e quando giochi con questa disponibilità e intensità riesci a vincere anche contro le grandi. E' una squadra che deve crescere ma lo sta facendo abbastanza velocemente, credo che sarà una squadra che farà bene per i prossimi anni. Pazzini ha giocato una partita straordinaria, ha dimostrato che a livello europeo è un grande giocatore. Credo che questa squadra sia composta da 25 giocatori con le loro caratteristiche, bisognava trovare l'equilibrio e trovare il gioco giusto in base a chi si schiera in campo. Tutti hanno giocato palla in avanti, hanno capito subito che bisognava giocare così. Queste partite a livello mentale non hanno bisogno di motivazioni, ho dato solo qualche indicazione tattica. Non abbiamo ancora fatto nulla, dobbiamo metterla lì, perché abbiamo il derby e dobbiamo ricaricare subito le batterie. Sono contento davvero di quello che fanno i ragazzi, bisogna godere di questa serata ma da domani bisogna pensare al derby. Noi dedichiamo questa serata al Presidente che ci è sempre stato vicino, anche nei momenti difficili, e il suo sostegno per noi è sempre importante".

"La storia ha dimostarto che il Barcellona è uscito dalle competizioni con squadre che giocano un certo tipo di calcio. Potevamo far male loro anche nel primo tempo. Tutti devono sentire loro questa vittoria, è una vittoria del gruppo che ci voleva dopo i brutti momenti che abbiamo passato. Non abbiamo passato il turno, non abbiamo fatto niente. Se vai al Camp Nou e difendi soltanto le prendi sicuramente. Dovremo essere ancora più propositivi perché avranno anche una cattiveria maggiore. Le partite con loro son sempre di un certo tipo, hanno avuto una giornata un po' no. Da domani testa alla prossima partita".

"Non è successo nulla di grave alla testa, abbiamo fatto una grande partita, il mister l'ha preparata benissimo, il tifo è stato fantastico, una serata stupenda. Penso che stasera si sia visto il concetto di squadra, in serate come queste il personalismi passano in sceondo, terzo, quarto piano. Ora ricarichiamoci e poi da domani testa al derby. Siamo stati bravi perché non abbiamo mai perso la pazienza, abbiamo fatto una partita perfetta, credo che il Milan si sia meritato la vittoria".

"Abbiamo giocato da squadra, tutti uniti a lottare su tutti i palloni, abbiamo mostrato che la squadra c'è. Non sappiamo se basteranno questi due gol ma noi andremo a Barcellona a giocarcela con personalità come abbiamo fatto stasera. Sono fiducioso per la prossima partita e anche per quella del Camp Nou. Messi è un giocatore al mondo, è il migliore al mondo, ma quando scendi in campo non ci devi pensare".

"I ragazzi hanno meritato questa vittoria, ci siamo difesi bene e abbiamo sfrutatto le occasioni. Nel primo tempo abbiamo sbagliato qualche passaggio, nel secondo tempo potevamo cercare anche il terzo gol, ma eravamo un po' stanchi. Ora dobbiamo mettere da parte questo risultato che lascia aperta la qualificazione ma dobbiamo pensare già al derby. Siamo cresciuti molto anche a livello fisico nel secondo tempo. Dobbiamo mettere da parte questa vittoria e preparare nei prossimi giorni la partita che ci attende. I ragazzi dedicano la vittorria al Presidente che ci è stato sempre vicino e che mi ha messo a disposizione una squadra che sta crescendo e facendo bene. A Barcellona dovremo fare meglio nella fase offensiva perché sarà importante fare gol. Ora pensiamo a domenica e vedremo se sapremo mantenere il terzo posto che al momento è il nostro obiettivo".

"We did very well and I have to say that our coach was very, very good in my opinion. This evening we played a perfect match. We did well to prevent from getting inside the box. We did well againstb them last year as well though. We can play with Barcelona and that’s what I keep saying. Barcelona have a lot of respect for us and when they say they fear us, they’re not lying. In these games, the club history counts as well. If I think of where we were after 8 games played this season. Football is beautiful as you never know what can happen, but not even the most optimistic fan would have imagined this. We have to dedicate this win top President Berlusconi as it’s the 27th anniversary of his acquisition of the club and all the fans should know who they have to thank. President Berlusconi brought this club to the top of the world. The fans shouldn’t forget this, even when we lose to Sampdoria at home, not only when we win against Barcelona. Winning games like this needs great fans, a great stadium, history, tradition. I remember the final that Milan lost to real Madrid in 1958. We have a certain history and other teams look at us with a certain respect. When the stadium is full, it instills fear and puts other teams under pressure. Since this summer we’ve been looking at a different typology of player than we usually look for. Tonight’s game was extraordinary and will stay in our memories for a long time. We were a bit timid up front in the first half but the goal helped us. Then there was once again, this characteristics that we’ve shown this season that in the second half we play better. Muntari came over to celebrate with me after the final whistle. I looked for a moment at the referee’s assistant and then I saw that he was running back to the half way line and that the goal was good. We played a perfect match and I don’t want to single out any particular player as they all did well. Niang showed real personality when he came on. Great game, great determination and character.”

"I’m very happy, it was an extraordinary game from a defensive point of view as we didn’t concede anything to Barcelona. We slipped up on a couple of passes but in the second half the team did well. They were patient and they found the right moment to strike. The players understood what I asked of them and when you play with that kind of willingness and intensity, you can win against anyone. The team is still growing it’s doing so very quickly, I think it’s a team that will do well for years to come. Pazzini played an extraordinary game and he’s shown that he’s  a great player at a European level. The team is made up of 25 players and we need balance and to find the right way to play depending on who’s on the pitch. You don’t need to motivate the players for these kind of games, just give tactical instructions. We haven’t’ done anything yet though and we have to leave it there now as we have the derby and we have to recharge our batteries immediately. I’m very happy with what the players have done and we should enjoy this evening and start focusing on the derby tomorrow. We dedicate this evening to our President who is always close to us, even in the difficult moments and his support is important for us.”

“History has shown that Barcelona have been knocked out of the competition by teams that play a certain type of football. It a team win and all the players should feel a part of it. We needed this after the tough moments we’ve been through this season. We’re not through to the next round though, we haven’t done anything yet. If you go to the Nou camp just to defend, you’ll definitely concede. We’ll have to continue to be positive as they’ll be even more competitive at home. From tomorrow, we’ll be thinking about then next match.”

“It’s nothing serious. We played a great game and the coach prepared us well. The fans were fantastic and it was a stupendous evening. I think you could see that we were a team this evening. On night’s like tonight, the individual aspect goes to the back. Now we have to get our energy back and from tomorrow we’ll be thinking about the derby. We did well as we didn’t get impatient, we played a perfect game and I believe Milan deserved the win.
