Since my breif summary of what happened in Galt seems to be mongering a lot of hate, I'll extend the story so you can all get the full picture.

Here are a number of factors that made me leave the venue, like any sensible self respecting DJ would:

1. The place was unsafe. That one bouncer was the only security the venue had and kids were climbing on stage where the equiptment wasnt held down. In fact, the entire setup was a death trap waiting to happen. To get to the tiny backstage area ou had to go up stairs that had wires elevated above them so you had to do an obstacle course style manouver to pass without puling out a cable for something important. The light wall wasn't fixed to the ceiling so one knock couldve sent it toppling over onto a member of the crowd on stage, or me. One of the people working for the promoter then devulged a massive revelation, that the reason that area I was kicked out of was a no go was because there were guns stored up there.

2. Getting the promoter's attention was impossibe before I left. We asked multiple times asking where the promoter is. He then gave us a few seconds of face time, without really answering our questions and proceeded to go about his business.

3. When I say there was nowhere to stand, there was literally nowhere to stand. KTN's set was a good hour and I didnt want to be the one to knock one of the cables out during his set, let alone be tripping up stage hands for an hour.

For the first reason alone I should have left, but the rudeness was the deal breaker.

I understand a lot of people are upset about having to drive hours to some shitty town to find the person they came to see has refused to play. Unfortunately, some gigs have to be cancled for whatever reason, and this was the first of its kind, where I left when I could've played.

I cannot deny a part of my exit is due to spoiled-ness. When I was 17 I'd play dangerous, fucked up raves all the time and not have the slightest of problems with it. Now after years of clubs and greenrooms, there is no doubt I dont want to put up witht the shit I once did, who the f*** would?

The main factor was venues and promoters need to learn that some people will not stand for unprofessional behaviour, and may start acting unproffesional themselves as a result.
