Our work in Moldova began in the 2001/02 academic year. Our first Moldovan scholars distinguished themselves in their American independent schools, and ultimately 61 Moldovan students have studied in the States under our auspices.  It is through the leadership of our partner, the National High School Debate League (NHSDL), that this scholarship competition is made possible. More information: http://www.assist-inc.org/ http://debate.md/ http://debate.md/US2014.pdf http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dRTONRjzyso http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iCKACAuHYIM HMC In September 2014 HMC Projects scholars will come from thirteen countries - Bosnia-Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Czech Republic, Estonia, Georgia, Moldova, Montenegro, Poland, Romania, Serbia, Slovakia and Ukraine. Boys and girls are selected for scholarships through entry procedures organised in their own countries by nationally accredited agencies and interviews conducted in English in national capitals by members of the HMC Projects, most of whom are serving or former head teachers. Selection is based on results in the entry tests, a strong academic record and good references from the students' own schools, proficiency in written and spoken English and performance at interview. An important criterion is the evident readiness of the student to adapt to a different country and to contribute through his or her own interests and enthusiasm to the life of the British school. Scholarship winners are then allocated to schools across the United Kingdom, all of which have high standards of academic, sporting and cultural achievement. The schools offer the complete costs of tuition, food and accommodation - and the HMC Projects group adds a modest sum to this for additional expenditure, such as travel in the UK and other activities. The total value of a scholarship is therefore in the region of £25,000 a year. Programul ASSIST oferă posibilitatea de a face studii în școli private în SUA în decurs de un an. Bursa include plata pentru studii, cazare si alimentare, bilet avion tur-retur. Elevii selectați vor achita o taxă de 1500 Dolari SUA plus costul vizei și taxa SEVIS. Programul DAVIS oferă posibilitatea de a face studii în decurs a 2 sau 3 ani în una din cele 5 scoli pilot cu obținerea diplomei, și care ulterior permite continuarea studiilor universitare cu o bursă parțiala în una din 86 universitati participante la program. Elevii selectați vor suporta cheltuielile de transport, viza, asigurare medicala, cărți, etc. Pentru Marea Britanie bursa include plata pentru studii, cazare si alimentare. Elevii selectati vor achita o taxă de 1500 lire sterline, plus cheltuielile de transport (3 zboruri tur-retur) și viza.
