ХРОНОЛОГИЯ
Silent Hill Origins (PSP, 2007)
«Происхождение» рассматривает рождение кошмарного Иного мира Сайлент Хилла. Вы играете за Тревиса (Travis), небогатого водителя грузовика, захваченного культом, который называется Order (Орден (Порядок?)). Тревису приказано вызвать демонического бога, принеся в жертву девочку-медиума по имени Алесса (Alessa).

Silent Hill (PS1, 1999)
После автомобильной аварии возле Сайлент Хилла, Гарри Мэйсон (Harry Mason) очнулся и обнаружил, что его приёмная дочь Шэрил (Cheryl) пропала. Он выяснил, что Шерил – часть души Алессы (см. SH:Origins), скрытая для предотвращения рождения демонического божества, которое она содержит.

Silent Hill 2 (PS2,2001)
Джеймс Сандерлэнд (James Sunderland) получает письмо от своей умершей жены, Мэри (Mary), зовущей его в Сайлент Хилл. Там он встрчает её двойника, которую неоднократно убивает ПирамидХэд (Pyramid Head), монстр, являющийся выражением вины Джеймса в убийстве Мэри после долгой болезни.

Silent Hill 3 (PS2, 2002)
Через 17 лет после событий первого Silent Hill, девушка Хизер (Heather) привлечена в город. Здесь она узнаёт, что была дана Гарри Мэйсону в конце игровых событий. Она едет в город, где сможет уничтожить зародыш демонического бога, который она носит в себе.

Silent Hill 4: The Room (PS2, 2004)
Генри Таунсенд (Henry Townsend) просыпается однажды и обнаруживает себя пленником в своём номере, а в ванной дыра, ведущая в Сайлент Хилл. Он узнаёт, что серийный убийца Уолтер Салливан (Walter Sullivan) верит, что комната – его мать, и он выполняет ритуальные убийства, чтобы «освободить» её.

P.S.
Silent Hill V выйдет для ПС3, Xbox 360 ( и может быть Wii ) в 2008 году. Про PC никакой информации нет ( хотя я думаю портируют и на ПК ).

Hello my horrible friends...I mean horror fans XD.
To tell the truth SH1 was my first expirince in such genre of game world. I was amazed. I had such an amazing time-spending playing the first part. The platform was mighty PlayStation. It was like I've always look for this in games and didn't find until paying SH. I don't wanna talk about how I played that game cause It will sound like I was in that world (it's somehow related to your fan - coeficient

)...so I'll skip that part. In any case this will stay forever as the best horror game for me....cause it's superb.....the story, the sounds, the design. I like very much Resident Evil, Fatal Frame, Clock Tower, Hountig Ground, but Silent Hill is in top of them all. My favorite part is 2-cond. The Silent Hill 2 is the best ever made of all SH. The best story, level/character design, best sounds...best atmosphere, best music. By the way, talking about music....Akira Yamaoka is a genius, his music is awesome...I love the main theme..the one that was used for SH1 and the rest is also great. He is the best at making music for SH...I couldn't imagine playing a part of Sh without his masterpieces - soundtracks. It's an awesome game I'll tell ya

Yes, his abilities are very big! I also can't imagine SH without his soundtracks.

Yeah, the first part is awesome too. Like I sayed before that was my first expirince and I remember all the moments....like it was yesterday

The riddles are very cool....especially that with the piano

and that with the astrological signs (pictures)

. I remember my first impresion about the moment when all around you goes rusty and bloody.....IT WAS AMAZING

My fovorite moment from that part was the moment in the hopital when the main character locks the nurse in a room. Then a cinematic runs...The nurse is moving very slow and cryes with blood....It's a cool moment cause it filled with sadness, pain, sorrow and satisfaction of seeing this and + the great Akira made a special cool soundtrack for it

The tread's main picture looks great

WELCOME TO SILENT HILL it sounds so familiar and so cool.

Well none of the Silent Hill characters are alive but the heros...only the mains characters are real, the rest are just imagination. The are tons of rumors about what exactly is that place. I believe in one of them, cause it matches the words of the creators of SH. I will tell ya the ideia but with my personal words :

The one who has a dark heart and soul filled with fear , by falling in coma, may find his path to the land of eternal sorrow where the air itself is filled with sadness and pain....and to survive he mast face his Fear

Sounds great, isn't it ?

So all characters excludind the mains are unreal, they belog to that town. The town reads the mind of the human who found that place and makes his fear to become reality. The creators of that game did mention that the Town is real and the persons (main characters) must face the fear that was created from their own hearts

Well that was the story of the movie...and it was one of the rumors about the game itself... but still they did SH2 & SH4 for making noise in our thoghts, because they are not related with the story of the Sh1+SH3, and + the words of the creators, that makes us think whatever we want to. So it's not about the rebirth of the sacred child like in SH1 or the sacred ritual with the heart of Heather when she reaches 15 years in SH3...that all depends on us. Two things are for sure:

I think in SH5 are many elements from Silent Hill The Movie... the altern. world... and especially nurses. Besides, Japans don't make this game... they gave it to Americans... and I don't like it

Americans will make a stupid shooter between hero and monsters :'-(

#15 Marilyn, 75% right. It was my first ideia when I heard that McDonald Fanboys

will be in charge of making the SH5. But we can't be sure for 100% if it will stink or mabe it won't be so bad, until we play that part

But to tell the truth , I red the plot and I don't like it so much....something is missing....it's not in the SH style, but can't wait to see it and play it to understand better and to make a full conclusion about SH 5.

#17 DooM, Have you seen the SH5 trailer? Can you say it is next-gen? I think for PS3, SH5 will be very simple. It's good... but not next-gen ( like KONAMI said ). But anyway I will play with big pleasure

Сайлент Хилл отличная игра. Меня привлекает в ней отлично поданный и интересный сюжет и просто шикарная атмосфера. Хотя иногда, когда нервы уже не выдерживают того состония в котором прибывают (натянуты как струны), я посылаю всё в жопу и вырубаю игру =D. Поэтому Саулент Хилы прохожу долго. Любимая часть это конечно вторая, в неё советую поиграть всем. Худшая часть это четвёртая. Откровенно не интересно было играть...... особенно когда уровни стали повторяться.... это меня добило, и я удалил игру с винта))) Так до сих пор диск где-то и пылится.........

Четвертая часть больше подходит для японцев. Очень много ихнего в игре. Поэтому им интереснее.
