Первый запрос «Юнайтед» по поводу бразильца был отклонен, так как на его счету не было необходимого количества игр за сборную.
Адвокаты клуба подали повторный запрос, рассчитывая на то, что разрешение будет получено по специальному пункту правил об «особом даровании» футболиста.
Комиссия из шести специалистов рассмотрит данный трансфер в течение следующих 48 часов и в случае повторного отказа, «Юнайтед» сможет подать следующий запрос только через год.
Экспертную оценку футболиста комиссии предоставил бывший тренер сборной Бразилии Луис Филипе Сколари.

Sam Allardyce is braced for a double raid on Newcastle strike duo Obafemi Martins and Michael Owen. Manchester United are set to offer £4million plus Alan Smith for Owen, while Arsenal have already lined up a £13m bid for Martins. The pair have buy-out clauses and Toon boss Allardyce said: “Everyone knows the clause situation Oba has. That leaves us in a very poor position. If those clauses are invoked, there is nothing we can do about it. I want to plan for Owen and Martins to start the season. But at some point between now and the end of August, I might lose those types of players. That would be a massive blow.” United are on red alert as Owen, 26, has yet to comment on suggestions he could invoke his £9m get-out clause.

The Daily Mirror claims United's move for Anderson may have to be delayed for a year. The club is appealing a decision to deny the 19-year-old Brazilian a work permit. If that appeal is unsuccessful then rules forbid United from re-applying for another year.

Various tabloids tip United, Liverpool and Arsenal to renew their interest in West Ham striker Carlos Tevez. The Argentine has rejected a move to Internazionale, with his representative claiming that he wants to stay in England.

Brazilian starlet Anderson has been given the go-ahead to join United after being granted a work permit.

The 19-year-old's application was initially rejected given his lack of international experience for the Brazilian national team.

A club spokesman said: "We are delighted to announce our application for Anderson's work permit has been successful.

"We look forward to finalising his transfer in the very near future."

Anderson is tipped to be one of Brazil's future stars, a school of thought backed up by an impressive debut earlier this week, and United's appeal overturned the decision.

He will now join up with Sir Alex Ferguson's squad in time for the new season, but will report to Carrington later than the other players due to his participation in the Copa America.

Ma uitam acum prin forum putin, am observat faptul ca la capitolul pagini de topic - pagina dedicata aici MU e de 94 file, Chelsea - are peste 140, Arsenal - la fel mai mult, doar Liverpool - are un pathetic de 14 sau 15.

Ma intrebam, sunt mai putini fani ai MU decit ai Chelsea sau Gunners, sunt ei mai full of flood, sau cluburilor lor li se intimpla mai multe chestii demne de discutii?

PS: eu, de obicei, imi schimb avatarurile des, asa ca daca tot m-ai rasfatat, sa te astepti la mai multe requsturi de la mine in timp ceva mai indepartat. Asta-i prea cool sa ma satur asa repede

Wayne Rooney is changing his United squad number from 8 to 10 for the forthcoming season and beyond.

To mark the switch, Wayne met probably the club's greatest ever number 10, Denis Law for a special photograph at Carrington.

"When I was offered the chance to wear the number 10 shirt I jumped at it," says Wayne.

"Some of the game's greatest players have become legends wearing number 10, none more so than Denis Law.

"He was crowned King of the Stretford End during his time at the club and it is a great honour for me to wear a shirt that has such history behind it."

Rooney's manager Sir Alex Ferguson believes Wayne is a worthy addition to the roll-call of players who've worn the iconic red shirt.

"There have been some wonderful footballers who have worn the Manchester United number 10 shirt," says Sir Alex.

"These men have captured the imagination of our fans around the world with their skill and their goals. Wayne is the right man to carry on that tradition and I'm delighted that Denis Law was able to pass on the mantle."

United have yet to confirm who will replace Rooney at number 8, or which numbers will be worn by new signings Nani, Anderson and Owen Hargreaves.
