"Unii oamenii cred ca noi suntem doar o trupă rock" spune Brad Delson, chitaristul trupei. "Noi credem că în muzica noastră se îmbină mai multe genuri, că de fapt ea este un hibrid pe care l-am creat noi şase". Acest lucru este evidenţiat cel mai bine de însuşi titlul albumului de debut Hybrid Theory, în care poţi întâlni un gen muzical în care se îmbină rock agresiv, rock alternativ, hip-hop sau electronic, un gen muzical original care a devenit practic specific Linkin Park.

Anul înfiinţării: 1996, cu numele Xero, ulterior în '98 schimbându-şi numele în Hybrid Theory, atunci când în trupă a venit Mark Wakefield, iar apoi, odată cu stabilirea lui Chester, trupa a devenit Linkin Park.
Locul înfiinţării: Agoura Hills, California, S.U.A.

Primii Ani
Linkin Park înseamnă rock alternativ, hip-hop şi electronic. Membrii trupei sunt originari din sudul Californiei.

Istoria trupei a început acum noua sau zece ani, atunci când Mike Shinoda, Brad Delson şi Rob Bourdon au pus bazele unei formaţii numite Xero. Ideea formării trupei a apărut in dormitorul vocalistului Mike Shinoda, unde acesta împreună cu Delson au înregistrat primul material, în 1996. Cei doi fuseseră colegi de şcoală. Acolo l-au intâlnit şi pe bateristul Rob Bourdon. Shinoda l-a racolat pe DJ-ul Joseph Hahn în timpul studiilor la Art Center College în Pasadena. Delson l-a adus pe basistul Dave "Phoenix" Farrell, care avea să părăsească trupa după colegiu, şi să se întoarcă după un an. Ultimul adus a fost Mark Wakefield; şi ulterior, trupa şi-a schimbat numele în Hybrid Theory (aceasta avea să fie titlul albumului lor de debut, lansat în 2000).

"Cea mai mare greşeală pe care o fac unii este aceea de a spune că suntem doar o trupă de rock", va declara ulterior chitaristul de la Linkin Park, Brad Delson[necesită citare]. "Noi considerăm muzica noastră un hibrid a ceea ce am ascultat noi şase de-a lungul timpului. Titlul albumului nostru de debut, "Hybrid Theory" este de fapt numele pe care voiam sa-l purtăm ca trupă şi este rezultatul a şase moduri de a înţelege muzica şi a şase personalităţi artistice distincte."

"Deşi stilurile noastre sunt diferite, am încercat ca sound-ul sa fie natural, sa nu fie forţat - asta înseamnă să ai identitate ca trupă", avea să spună şi bassistul Phoenix.

Ultimul component al trupei a fost vocalistul Chester Bennington, din Arizona, fost solist al trupei Grey Daze. "Când aveam doi ani, ma pasiona ce cântau Foreigner. De cand am învăţat să vorbesc, spuneam tuturor că voi deveni cântăreţ", îşi aminteşte Chester Bennington.

Venirea lui Chester a survenit la puţin timp după plecarea lui Mark Wakefield, datorată tensiunilor existente în trupă (motivate în principal de faptul că formaţia nu izbutise să semneze încă cu o casă de discuri). Trupa s-a văzut nevoită să caute un nou vocalist care să-l înlocuiască pe Wakefield. Ei au trimis mai multe casete demo prietenilor şi diverselor cunoştinţe, cerând oamenilor interesaţi să-şi înregistreze propriile versuri pe casetă demo şi să o trimită înapoi. Chester Bennington şi soţia lui de-abia îşi cumpăraseră o casă în Phoenix, Arizona când un prieten i-a dat o asemenea casetă lui Chester. Chester a sunat imediat formaţia în acea seară şi le-a spus că era interesat să cânte cu ei.
Cu Chester în formaţie, trupa a început să înregistreze. Produsul acestor înregistrări a fost EP-ul cu acelaşi nume ca al trupei, "Hybrid Theory". Marele noroc al formaţiei a fost când StreetWise Concepts and Culture, o companie de publicitate, a auzit câteva piese de pe "Hybrid Theory" şi au pus o melodie numită "Plaster" (prima versiune a piesei "One Step Closer" ) pe site-ul lor, recomandând-o drept o piesă a unei formaţii de viitor.

Ulterior, formaţia avea să îşi schimbe numele în Linkin Park, aluzie la parcul Lincoln din Santa Monica. În 1999, aveau să semneze cu Warner Bros. Records.

Iar ceea ce a urmat, este deja istorie!

Nişte reguli:

  • Pentru momentele în care începem a scrie versuri din cuvinte, pentru a face mai animat topicul, următorul user va scrie titlul cântecului de unde a fost extras pasajul anterior (testăm un pic ţinerea de minte :D )

Offline Meetings
Aici vor apărea date despre offline-uri, când se vor mai organiza.

A avut loc Duminică, 13 septembrie 2009, ora 15.00
Trezirea (wake) lume! Don't Stay home! Fiecare zi ce trece ne aduce mai aproape (one step closer)
de ziua primului nostru Offline. Astfel, la finalul (in the end) primei săptămâni din septembrie
(wake me up when september ends... ăăă... asta e din altă operă, da' oricum e bună),
pe data de 6, într-o frumoasă zi de duminică, la ora 15 ne întâlnim (Ntr>Mssion) în faţa monumentului
marelui nostru domnitor Ştefan cel Mare şi Sfânt. Sper să vă văd pe acolo (Guess that somebody's listening :D )...
Că nu prea mi-e a duce la offline By_Myslf.

#19050 smarty, "... chiar are dreptate, nu vreau sa par "crutoi" dar ceva ni-i ajunge....si daca sa comparam cu albumele anterioare chiar acestea sux un pic......insa unele piese chiar imi plac ..." - nimeni nu spune că voi sunteți crutie :D dar
1. n-am ascultat demo-urile de mai sus, doresc să mă surprindă cînd voi asculta albumul întreg,
2. vă spun chiar și ATS pentru mine e masterpiece, da e alt stil, da la mulți nu le-a justificat speranțele dar eu iubesc tot ce fac ei :)

#19053 ElMoldovano, exact :) lumea e foarte stranie :) Daca o trupa nu isi schimba stilul de la un album la altul toti mornaie "beee tot aceeasi nimic nouu blablabla" iar daca trupa se schimba, evolueaza, creste si isi schimba repertoriul toti mornaie "muuuu astia nu mai sunt ceea ce au fost vrem ca primul album ala e misto restu rahaat blablabla". Oh c'mon people daca vreti acelasi lucru de la un album la altul ascultati house acolo nu deosebesti o melodie de alta :) Cum a zis nustiu cine : Muzica ca si totul din lumea asta se supune evolutiei si nu cerintelor tale :)

cand a iesit m2m, albumul a primit multa critica negativa, tipa wtf, bla bla. little things give you away ziceau ca-i BS, fara gust.
acum aces track se socoate pur si simplu EPIC, mai ales rift-ul ghitarei de la sfarsit...

#19057 AlternoJeky, nu ma bag in clipuri :) Nu prea are legatura cu muzica , ca eu daca ceva pot sa ascult usor fara sa intru pe youtube :) In ce priveste muzica nu sunt sigur daca ai in vedere de ATS :) Daca da atunci hz mi se pare ca au evolutionat superb :) Imi plac primele albume, mi-a placut al 3, insa ATS e foarte bun pentru mine :) Deja a mai ramas putin timp si vedem ce reprezinta Leaving Things. Anyway nu cere lui Chester si lui Mike (care au 36 si respectiv 35 de ani) sa cante muzica rebela adolescentina, ei au crescut. Sa te vad eu la 36 de ani daca vei gandi la fel ca acum. Insa asa am o senzatie ca leaving things va fi ca primele 2 si asta nu e din cauza ca asa vor ei dar din cauza ca experimentul ATS a esuat oaresicum :)

PS: am abuzat un pic de smilikuri sorry doar ca nu doream ca discursu sa para agresiv

#19058 ElMoldovano, "... peste vre-un an de la release. sunt sigur ca o sa-ti schimbi parerea. ..." - posibil, dar obiectiv hai să vorbim despre clipuri..începînd cu The catalist și Burn it down pff...acțiunea într-un studiou..camerele se învîrt...efecte 3d...GATA ? Unde-i LP care făceau clipuri cu război . cu actiune..cu oameni..cu pace.. Unde ? nu-s!!!

fiecare are clipuri epice, care intra in istorie, si clipuri doar pentru marketing sau pentru singles, nu de fiecare data ele sunt MEGA, insa sunt facute la calitate maxima (vb despre LP). somewhere i belong e fav-ul meu, e din celea vechi despre care tu vorbesti. insa ce poti spune despre breaking the habbit? istoria e ok, e animatzie, insa nu e EPIC, in comparatie cu from the inside, sa zicem.

Eu nu zic ca tot ce e nou facut de Linkin Park e sux...doar ca prea departe au plecat baietii cu experimentele. Sunt deacord ca ceva nou e intotdeauna primit bine dar e prea diferit de stilul lor de cindva. Unde-s hiturile care le scoteau cindva? Breaking the habit, In the end? Whay i've done?
IMHO, daca continua tot asa ap o sa ajunga la POP'sa :derpcry:

da sunt piese care nu le ascult întotdeauna, sunt care le plac mai puțin dar rele pentru mine nicidecum cel puțin Linkin Park

mai în scurt, ascultați ce doriți și ce vă spune inima, eu n-o să vă dictez ce să ascultați, toți au gusturi diferite și le respect :)

1. Din cauza cantecelor mai vechi.
2. De unde stii tu ce cantece vor mai face ei in viitor ?

Linkin Park au o mare diversitate de muzica, tocmai asta le lipseste multor altor trupe. In cazul LP, poti vedea piese de diferite stiluri, insa toate scrise intr-o oarecare maniera rock.
