Eto'o presented as new Inter Milan player

Former Barcelona player Samuel Eto'o has this afternoon been presented as new player of Italian champions Inter Milan.

"I thank Barcelona and my former team-mates. I spent wonderful years with that shirt. Many thanks to the club, the team-mates and the fans.

I want to write the Inter Milan history. I won almost everything with Barca and I hope to do the same here. The Golden Boot? It would be nice but I think in the first place about the interests of the team.

Medical: Ibrahimovic succesfully operated

Barcelona player Zlatan Ibrahimovic (27), who got injured during a friendly game with his former club Inter Milan last week, underwent surgery earlier today.

Doctors Xavier Mir and Ricard Pruna succesfully operated the Swedish striker, who has broken the base of the second metacarpal bone of his left hand.

Ibrahimovic is expected to be out for the next three weeks and should be available for the Joan Gamper Trophy against Manchester City on 19 August. His injury doesn't prevent the player from taking part in the US tour.

Cum te-ai simtit in timpul prezentarii pe Camp Nou?
Zlatan Ibrahimovic: Luni a fost o zi foarte incarcata. Intai examenul medical, apoi dupa pranz am semnat un contract foarte important care a facut multi oameni fericiti, apoi a venit prezentarea. Este greu de exprimat in cuvinte ce am simtit. Sunt emotii pe care cuvintele nu le pot explica. Trebuie sa fii acolo ca sa intelegi…

Simti o stare de nervozitate dupa aceasta zi agitata?
Zlatan Ibrahimovic: Am fost putin nervos pentru ca mi se spusese ca vor veni foarte multi oameni la prezentare. In mod normal sunt un tip relaxat, dar venirea mea la Barcelona este un vis devenit realitate. Aveam o intelegere cu presedintele lui Inter prin care singurul club la care ar fi fost dispusi sa ma vanda era FC Barcelona. Orice alte oferte au fost refuzate din start si singurii care m-au interesat au fost cei de la Barcelona. Din acest motiv am un sentiment fantastic. La trecerea de la Malmö la Ajax m-am simtit fericit, apoi de la Ajax la Juventus a fost un eveniment important dar oarecum normal din punct de vedere emotional. Transferul de la Juve la Inter a fost din nou un pas important, dar nu mi-a schimbat cu nimic starea de spirit. Prin comparatie, la transferul aici am simtit o mare stare de agitatie.

De ce?
Zlatan Ibrahimovic: Barcelona este un club important prin traditia sa si orice jucator si-ar dori sa faca parte dintr-o istorie fantastica. Pentru mine, Barça joaca acum fotbalul pe care alte echipe il vor juca peste zece ani. Modul in care se exprima Barcelona pe teren este acelasi in care vreau si eu sa joc si cred ca fanii care vin la stadion apreciaza acest stil. Si cum in fotbal 50% inseamna fanii…

Ce stii despre istoria Barcelonei si despre jucatori?
Zlatan Ibrahimovic: Multe nume importante au jucat la Barça: Ronaldo, Romario, Stoichkov, Hagi, Maradona, Ronaldinho… Oricine ii stie pe acesti jucatori si unul din obiectivele mele este sa intru si eu in istoria acestui mare club. Oricine isi doreste sa ajunga la Barça dar nu toti reusesc acest lucru.

Te vei integra in stilul Barçei?
Zlatan Ibrahimovic: Cred ca ma voi integra fara probleme pentru ca este exact stilul in care imi place sa joc, asemanator celui de la Ajax. Acolo m-am simtit cel mai bine si am invatat cel mai mult.

Ai avut referinte bune de la oameni care cunosc mai bine clubul?
Zlatan Ibrahimovic: Toata lumea cu care am vorbit a avut numai cuvinte de lauda. Am vorbit cu Larsson, Figo, Koeman si toti au vorbit de bine despre club. Chiar nu am auzit nimic neplacut, ci toti mi-au spus ca este o mare sansa pentru mine pe care nu ar trebui sa o ratez. Clubul a castigat tot ce putea castiga sezonul trecut si in mod normal nu ar fi avut nevoie sa faca transferuri importante, de aceea este un lucru cu atat mai special faptul ca m-au cautat. Inseamna enorm pentru mine, iar eu am venit aici pentru a castiga in continuare trofee.

Va fi acesta contractul vietii tale?
Zlatan Ibrahimovic: Sper sa ma bucur de fiecare moment petrecut aici. Sunt aici pentru a juca si pentru a invata. Vreau sa joc cel mai bine, pentru asta trebuia sa ajung la cea mai buna echipa si in opinia mea ea este FC Barcelona. Vreau sa devin un jucator mai bun si stiu ca acest lucru este posibil prin multa munca alaturi de formidabilii mei colegi.

Ai vorbit cu Guardiola. Ce ti-a spus?
Zlatan Ibrahimovic: Era fericit ca totul s-a rezolvat, la fel cum sunt si eu. Guardiola a spus ca este important ca eu sa ma simt bine si ca restul va veni de la sine.

Esti un atacant foarte tehnic. In mod normal un astfel de jucator este individualist, dar tu ai profilul unui fotbalist care se pune in slujba echipei.
Zlatan Ibrahimovic: Este unul din lucrurile pe care le-am invatat in Italia. Este important sa stii cum sa joci pentru echipa, altfel este imposibil sa atingi obiectivele pe care clubul le impune. Trebuie sa iti ajuti continuu colegii, iar ei trebuie sa te ajute pe tine. Este adevarat ca sunt jucatori al caror atu este jocul individual. Fiecare trebuie sa isi exploateze propriul talent.

Cum te-ai autocaracteriza ca individ?
Zlatan Ibrahimovic: Sunt un familist convins. Daca familia mea este fericita, si eu sunt fericit. In plus sunt foarte constiincios si fac tot posibilul sa realizez ce imi propun. Dar in mare sunt un tip foarte normal…

Reprezinti Suedia, dar parintii tai sunt din Balcani. Se poate spune ca acest lucru ti-a marcat personalitatea?
Zlatan Ibrahimovic: Poate. Tatal meu este bosniac, iar mama mea este croata, dar eu m-am nascut in Suedia. Am fost educat in spiritul societatii suedeze, dar din punct de vedere mental ma aseman cu tatal meu, care are o personalitate puternica.

Care sunt hobbyurile tale?
Zlatan Ibrahimovic: Imi plac artele martiale, mai cu seama taekwondo si imi plac filmele. Sunt familist si imi place sa calatoresc alaturi de familia mea pentru a explora lumea. Am hobbyuri normale, nimic special.

Care sunt idolii tai fotbalistici? Ai fost asemanat lui Van Basten…
Zlatan Ibrahimovic: Capello m-a comparat cu Van Basten si aceasta a fost o mare onoare pentru mine, dar cred ca jucatorii nu pot fi comparati. Fiecare are talentul sau. Van Basten este o legenda si mi-a placut pentru ca a fost un jucator complet, la fel ca si Ronaldo. Dar din spectrul larg al sportului preferatulmeu este Mohamed Ali.

Zlatan Ibrahimovic a fost supus unei interventii chirurgicale

Prezentat oficial aseara, Zlatan Ibrahimovic a trecut azi dimineata pe la stadion pentru a discuta cu antrenorul Josep Guardiola si pentru a-si saluta noii colegi, dupa care a fost supus unei interventii chirurgicale la mana stanga dupa ce si-a fracturat al doilea metacarpian la ultimul sau meci in tricoul lui Internazionale Milano.

Operatia realizata de medicii Xavier Mir si Ricard Pruna s-a derulat fara probleme, dar recuperarea dupa interventia chirurgicala ar putea dura in jur de trei saptamani, situatie in care Ibra ar putea bifa primele sale minute in tricoul blaugrana in meciul cu Manchester City de pe 19 august contand pentru trofeul Gamper.

In ciuda acestei probleme medicale, Zlatan Ibrahimovic va merge impreuna cu ceilalti componenti ai lotului blaugrana in Statele Unite pentru turneul promotional al Barcelonei.

La antrenamentul din aceasta dimineata au fost prezenti toti jucatorii de la echipa mare cu exceptia lui Gaby Milito si Alexander Hleb. Alaturi de “veterani” s-au antrenat si canteranii Marc Muniesa, Jonathan dos Santos, Fontas si Jeffren, despre care site-ul oficial al clubului scrie ca ar putea fi opriti in lot pentru turneul american.

Four youth players will travel to US

Barcelona has officially announced that, besides twenty two first team players, four Barcelona youth players will travel to the United States for the training camp.

Belarusian international Alexander Hleb (28) as well as Uruguayan international Martín Cáceres (22) are not included in the list pending loan deals to other clubs.

The full list includes Valdés, Pinto, Jorquera, Puyol, Alves, Víctor Sánchez, Piqué, Márquez, Henrique, Abidal, Maxwell, Xavi, Touré, Keita, Busquets, Gudjohnsen, Iniesta, Henry, Pedro, Messi, Bojan, Ibrahimovic, Muniesa (17), Fontàs (19), Jonathan dos Santos (19), and Jeffren (21).


Henry advises Arsenal to follow Barcelona example

Asked about his situation at the club, Barcelona player Thierry Henry (31) has said in an interview with British tabloid The Sun that he's now focusing on his recovery:

"I pushed myself so hard to play in the Champions League final. The doctors told me I should rest for two months after the initial injury but I was back after two weeks. I was virtually playing on one leg against Manchester United in the final but was so desperate just to be a part of the team.

Now I am being a bit more cautious. I'm working hard in training and will go with the team on the tour of the United States, but I am not kicking a ball yet. Hopefully I will be OK for the start of the season but the most important thing is to make sure the knee is fully recovered."

Henry also commented on the situation of his former club Arsenal: "It is more difficult to achieve success without money, but it's not impossible with the right attitude. Just look at Barcelona. We won the treble this year and proved you can succeed by developing your own players and blending them with one or two expensive signings. Iniesta, Xavi, Messi, Puyol, Pique and Valdes all came through the system at Barcelona.

Arsenal are trying to do the same thing and are very close to achieving their ambitions. Yes, they are still a very young team. But they are not inexperienced. They have been playing together for quite a while and are capable of anything. I still believe they have enough quality to win the Premier League. It is difficult for me to talk about Arsenal. Whenever I do, it is always with my heart, not my head. It is going to be a difficult task for Arsenal this time and it is vital that everyone keeps the faith.

I know how those supporters feel. Like them, I am Arsenal through and through and we all suffer when the team doesn't win anything. Everyone wants immediate success and after four seasons without a trophy, Arsenal supporters have become impatient. All I can say to them right now is to have faith in Arsene and know that the first trophy in five years will be more enjoyable than ever."

Keirrison officially presented as Benfica player

Barcelona player Keirrison (20) has yesterday evening been presented as new player of Benfica. The Brazilian striker joins the Portuguese club on loan for one season, with an option for a second year. Keirrison will wear the number 11.

Final proposal for six years term for president
The details of the proposed new club statutes of FC Barcelona, which will be presented for approval to the representative assembly on 19th August, have been published.
The modification of Decree 145/1991, which regulates the constitutions of clubs and sports associations, was approved by the Catalan Parliament last November. It established that the term of office of governing boards may not be less than six years nor more than eight. The new decree requires clubs to adapt their constitutions before new elections.
The club now proposes that the term of office of the board of directors will be for six years (instead of four years until now), starting on 1st July and finishing on 30th June. The president of the Board may serve a maximum of two consecutive terms. Residence in Catalonia will be a necessary precondition to be elected president.

Hleb refuza pe Inter si este aproape de Stuttgart

In ciuda faptului ca FC Barcelona a anuntat oficial imprumutul lui Alexander Hleb la Internazionale Milano ca parte a transferului lui Zlatan Ibrahimovic, oferind si detaliile intelegerii prin care campioana Italiei ar avea dreptul sa-si asigure permanent serviciile jucatorului vara viitoare pentru 10+2 milioane de euro, se pare ca viitorul mijlocasului nu este in Italia.

Cotidianul german Bild scrie ca Hleb a ajuns la o intelegere personala cu Stuttgart pentru un imprumut pe un an, nedorind sa joace in Italia pentru a nu intampina din nou problemele avute in ultimul sezon in Catalunya. El declarase de altfel in mai multe randuri ca problemele sale de adaptare la jocul Barcelonei se datoreaza tocmai faptului ca, spre deosebire de colegii sai, nu a reusit sa invete nici spaniola si nici catalana.

Sport scrie ca Hleb va efectua astazi vizita medicala la Stuttgart, situatie in care Barcelona va trebui sa achite lui Inter inca 4,5 milioane de euro in schimbul lui Ibrahimovic, reprezentand contavaloarea imprumutului mijlocasului bielorus. Dupa cum informeaza Il Corriere dello Sport,italienii s-au impacat deja cu aceasta situatie si s-au reorientat spre Deco sau Cassano.

Rapoarte din Germania lasau sa se inteleaga si faptul ca Hleb ar putea sa continue la FC Barcelona, dar in momentul de fata este clar ca acest lucru nu se va intampla in conditiile in care jucatorul nu a facut deplasarea in Statele Unite alaturi de restul lotului, la fel ca si Martin Caceres.
