Limp Bizkit - is an American rock band formed in 1995 in Jacksonville, Florida. The band's lineup consists of 5 members:

Fred Durst Wes Borland Sam Rivers John Otto DJ Lethal

Limp Bizkit was formed in 1995 in Jacksonville, after Fred Durst met Sam Rivers. Rivers introduced Durst to his cousin, John Otto, a drummer in Keystone Heights, FL. The three got together for a jam session, and soon after started an early version of the band. The trio soon recruited guitarist Rob Waters and Limp Bizkit was established. The band's first four-track demo, entitled Mental Aquaducts (which were remakes of previously written songs from Fred's previous bands Split 26 and 10Ft Shindig), was recorded with Rob Waters but soon after he left the band. Otto suggested the group to consider Wes Borland, whom he had gone to school with, for the now vacant position. Durst noticed him playing in clubs and wanted to recruit him. Durst went to Philadelphia, and he instructed the other members to talk to Wes and see if he'd join the band. Wes accepted, and the very night Fred came back to Jacksonville, a show was scheduled. Fred and Wes met for the first time, practiced for a half hour, and then went and played the show.
The band continued to play various shows, their most popular venue being at the Milkbar in Jacksonville. In 1995, Fred Durst met and talked to members of the band Korn when they played a show in the Jacksonville area. Durst, a tattoo artist, gave Korn bassist Reginald "Fieldy" Arvizu several tattoos and the two became friends. Durst gave Korn the band's first demo tape with Rob Waters, and they shrugged it off as nothing special. Later, with Borland, a second demo was recorded and this time Korn was impressed. The demo included the tracks "Counterfeit", "Stuck", "Stalemate", and "Pollution", all of which would end up on the band's debut album Three Dollar Bill, Yall$. The demo tape was passed onto Ross Robinson, who produced for Korn, and he was also impressed. Ross contacted Limp Bizkit, and stated his intent to produce for the band. At a Garbage concert, Durst had met Jordan Schur and played his demo tape for him in Schur's car. He was impressed, and wanted to sign Limp Bizkit to his label, Flip Records. Around this time, the band was booked to tour with the bands Deftones and House of Pain, whose member DJ Lethal later joined Limp Bizkit. Limp Bizkit later signed with Mojo Records, but was later bought out by Schur and subsequently signed with Flip Records.

In the fall of 2001, Wes Borland left Limp Bizkit for the first time. Strained relations between him and Durst contributed to his decision. His departure was interpreted as a major blow by fans and critics to the band. He was often cited as a vital creative force in the group, due in part to his eccentricity. The last known song the band was working on with Wes was "Relax", a semi-cover take on Frankie Goes to Hollywood's song, due to be on the Zoolander soundtrack.
Reunion, Unicorns N' Rainbows tour and new album (2008–2009)
In mid-2008 rumors began to indicate that Limp Bizkit were planning a comeback tour, these rumors were later confirmed. Interviews with various members of the band had hinted that Terry Balsamo was to replace Wes Borland, but Balsamo was demanding a written contract, which the band was either unable or unwilling to give. Despite no official confirmation from the band, members of Limp Bizkit signed up on Twitter including Wes, with DJ Lethal confirming the accounts to be real, making Borland's rejoining seem less like a rumor. In late 2008, bassist Sam Rivers hinted that the group was in the early stages of writing new material for the fifth full-length album, the bands first full-length album in 6 years.
On February 11, 2009, Durst posted on his Twitter account the message "1am pacific time- limpbizkit.com tonight". The site was up and running for the first time in years and confirmed the return of Wes. Through a blog post on the homepage, Fred Durst and Wes Borland issued a joint statement:
"We decided we were more disgusted and bored with the state of heavy popular music than we were with each other. Regardless of where our separate paths have taken us, we recognize there is a powerful and unique energy with this particular group of people we have not found anywhere else. This is why Limp Bizkit is back.”
On May 20, 2009 the original lineup of Limp Bizkit performed together for the first time in eight years, at their first show ever in Latvia. The band went on to play a European tour named Unicorns N' Rainbows Tour. They also played German festivals Rock Im Park and Rock Am Ring on June 5 and 7 respectively, headlining the latter. Five days later the band landed in the UK and played at Download Festival. On August 1, the band took stage for a sold-out show in London's HMV Forum as part of Kerrang's Week of Rock. Limp Bizkit was officially inducted into the Kerrang! Hall of Fame at the Kerrang! Awards, and the next day the band performed at the Sonisphere Festival, playing in between Machine Head and Nine Inch Nails. Less than two weeks later, Limp would again be playing alongside Nine Inch Nails, but also Keane in ETPFest, Korea, on August 15.
August 24, 2009 marked the official first day of recording new material, as well as the first time the entire band had recorded together since 2000 (Results May Vary without Wes Borland, The Unquestionable Truth Part 1 without John Otto).
On November 30, Durst revealed in a Kerrang article, that the new album would be called Gold Cobra and would be released June 2010 via Polydor/Interscope.[24] Durst told Kerrang Magazine in December of 2009 that the album will feature 10 songs with interludes/segues between the songs. In a series of radio interviews Fred confirmed some working titles as "Combat Jazz", "Douche Bag", "Weird & Poisonous" and "It Ain't Me." It was also revealed that Wes Borland came up with the album name "Gold Cobra".[25] He confirmed the band will shoot music videos, as well as mentioning intent to release up to three songs at once as opposed to one first single, with a possible release date of March 2010. Rumored guest performances on the album include Mathematics, Raekwon (Wu-Tang Clan), Aaron Lewis, and Paul Wall.
After the recording of Gold Cobra, Limp Bizkit is slated to perform a number of U.S. concerts including 98 Rock Fest, Rock on the Range, Beale Street Music Festival, EdgeFest 20, Buzzfest and more to be announced. Following the festival shows, Durst confirmed a full U.S. tour in June. They have also been rumored to headline a Latin American tour, but only one show in Mexico is confirmed to date.

Slipknot DJ Sid Wilson has confirmed that he is working on a new project with Limp Bizkit singer Fred Durst.

Wilson, who revealed all about his planned collaboration with Professor Green yesterday (March 26), told NME that he met up with Durst while on tour in Australia and has been recording with the singer in Florida at Young Money Cash Money studios.

Asked if he and Durst were indeed working together, as internet rumours suggested, Wilson replied: “Yeah, I’ve been hanging around with Fred. We did the Australian tour together and we just clicked instantly.”

He continued: “There was an instant connection when we got to talking. I went out to Florida to hang out with him and we went into the Cash Money, Young Money studios together to work on new music.”

Then asked what the collaboration would end up as, Wilson said: “I’m going to do an EP with Fred Durst. I don’t want to say too much, but it’s definitely part of this new, dirtier approach to music making I’m doing right now. It’s great to work with Fred, he understands the harder edge of the world that I’m into.”

Limp Bizkit, who are now to rapper Lil Wayne’s label Cash Money, have previously said that they are currently working on the “heaviest” and “most crazy metal record” ever.

Slipknot have just completed an Australian tour as part of the traveling Soundwave festival and will tour the US as headliner of Mayhem Festival this summer alongside Slayer, Motorhead, Anthrax and The Devil Wears Prada.

Wes confirmed via tiwtter that Limp Bizkit is currently working on two albums. The EP The Unquestionable Truth (Part 2) and the new album which is supposed to call Stampede of The Disco Elephants.

Кстати, на днях появились слухи об очередном распаде Limp Bizkit - мол, и контракт с YMCMB не помог, группа мертва. Но нет, пока все участники дружно опровергают эту информацию и обещают новый альбом.

Ушедший из Limp Bizkit весной этого года DJ Lethal устроил в Твиттере настоящий разнос своим бывшим коллегам, не особо скупясь на выражения.

Музыкант так прокомментировал выход нового сингла группы «Pain»: «Только не смешите. «Pain»??? Серьезно, хватит. Linkin Park делают песни круче. R&Bizkit??? Лицоладонь!... Мне Linkin Park нравятся больше Limp Bizkit, они хотя бы занимаются музыкой, а не продаются». DJ Lethal также признался в своей любви к Korn и Deftones, а также заявил, что Дерст совершенно бессовестно скопировал вокальную манеру Чино Морено.

Когда один из пользователей Твиттера попытался защитить его бывшую группу, DJ Lethal ответил: «Ненавижу у**ков, которые пытаются осудить меня за то, что я ушел из «группы», в которой играл 15 лет. Вы прямо как долбаные счастливые лоси! Е**ный Фред Дерст! Я был известным музыкантом еще до того, как вы вообще узнали про него. Так что идите делать уроки, школота».

В завершение он попытался защитить свое право свободно высказываться, а также признался, что писал сообщения, будучи нетрезвым: «Да, я на**ярился в г**но и пишу тут х**ню. Я знаю, кто мои НАСТОЯЩИЕ друзья. Если ты не один из них, то отписывайся от меня и иди на **й».

жалко конечно литала, надо было ходить на репетиции а не бухать постоянно, но всёравно он останется частью лимп бизкит навсегда.

В одном из источников вычитал такую вещь: "Поступила информация, что группа Limp Bizkit находится в студии, чтобы дописать альбом. В скором времени будет больше инфо.
P.S. Про клип и сингл пока тишина. Да, и сингл будет называться LIGHTZ, а не PAIN, про это вы должны знать. Посмотрим что будет дальше."

Насколько это правда - сказать не могу, да и сам Фред не может. Нам же остаётся ждать лишь)

Небольшое интервью Веса сайту Metal Shrine.(Многое вырезали,там остальное все про BLB)
Мы работаем в нескольких разных направлениях. Мы были в Майами, мы же сейчас на Кэш Мани и мы - первая рок группа у них, что, конечно, безумие. Это само по себе просто ну очень странно, но в хорошем смысле. И глупо с одной стороны и очень умно с другой. У нас все хорошо продвигается и мы делаем песни в Майами с их продюсерами. Еще у Фреда дома много работаем, играю на гитаре и пишу с ним песни. Я, кстати, теперь даже некоторые вокальные партии пишу для ЛБ. Буквально тут на днях это произошло, очень неожиданный поворот событий - и странно и классно одновременно. Еще тут с группой работаем в нескольких разных студиях, но вообще мы готовимся вернуться в студию в октябре и отполировать несколько демок, над которыми сейчас работаем. Завтра (7 сентября) мы снимаем видео на песню, которую сделали с некоторыми ребятами из Кэш Мани. Будет интересно.

-Вы ожидаете релиз в этом году, или в начале следующего?
-Я думаю, что в начале следующего.

-Это будет классический Бизкит, или полностью новое направление?
- Я думаю, что и то и то. Будет немного классики, будет немного рока с разными экспериментальными штуками и будут супер Кэш Мани клубные треки. Очень характерное звучание, но если подумать, что мы делали в прошлом, то мы всегда мешали рок треки с поп-элементами, полноценные рок треки и полноценный хип-хоп. Так что все по-прежнему. Все то же, только с другими действующими лицами.
