What is the difference between Mafia Wars character types


The Mogul character type has increased cash flow with cash coming in every 54 minutes instead of every hour. A mogul is also the only character type that can be a Top Mafia Bagman. If assigned to be a Top Mafia bagman in a friend's mafia you have the chance to earn double the money from performing jobs



The Maniac character type has increased energy regeneration with a new energy point being awarded every 3 minutes instead of every 5 minutes. A maniac is also the only character type that can be a Top Mafia Button man. If assigned to be a Top Mafia Button man in a friend's mafia you have the chance to automatically win any fight that you initiate.



The Fearless character type has increased health regeneration. A Fearless character is also the only character type that can be a Top Mafia Wheelman. If assigned to be a Top Mafia Wheelman in a friend's mafia you have the chance to complete jobs without spending any energy.

PETA scoate pitbullii din Mafia Wars

Luna trecuta developerii de la Zynga anuntau ca userii de pe Facebook isi vor putea cumpara animale agresive in Mafia Wars pe post de arme. PETA, organizatia americana pentru protectia animalelor, s-a sesizat imediat si a trimis o scrisoare catre Zynga, in care solicitau scoaterea exemplarelor de pitbull din joc.
PETA sustine ca pitbull e o rasa crescuta doar pentru luptele de caini si apararea caselor si de cele mai multe ori, aceste animale sunt abuzate. In scrisoarea trimisa catre Mark Pincus, fondatorul companiei Zynga, cei de la PETA apelau la faptul ca acesta e un iubitor de animale si il rugau sa scoata rasa pitbull din Mafia Wars.
Pincus si-a numit compania Zynga dupa bulldog-ul sau Zinga, asa ca acesta a fost de acord cu cerintele PETA.

Desi sesizarea celor de la PETA pare putin absurda, vice-presedintele organizatiei Tracy Reiman a explicat si un simplu joc intareste ideea oamenilor ca animalele pot fi abuzate si crescute doar pentru violenta.
"Mafia Wars e bineinteles doar un joc, dar suferinta indurata de mii de pitbulli - care sunt tratati de parca ar fi alarme pentru hoti sau masini de lupta - e cat se poate de reala. Prin faptul ca a eliminat pitbull-ul virtual Mafia Wars, Zynga a incetat sa perpetueze senzatia ca e acceptabil sa inlantuiesti, neglijezi si abuzezi cainii reali."

Ca semn de multumire pentru gestul sau, PETA i-a trimis lui Mark Pincus o cutie cu bomboane de ciocolata vegetariene.
