Dinho To Skip Training & Join Milan
Barcelona star Ronaldinho will refuse to turn up to pre season training with his club tomorrow, and will instead complete a move to Milan, according to reports in Brazil, Italy and Spain.

Ronaldinho’s proposed transfer to the Rossoneri has become something of a saga this summer, but it seems as if the soap opera has finally reached its last episode.

The 28-year-old is angry with his club for refusing him permission to play with Brazil at this summer’s Olympics, and according to O Globo, the Gazzetta dello Sport and El Mundo Deportivo, the player will use this as an excuse to execute FIFA’s Article 17 whereby he will buy himself out of his contract.

This would mean that Milan would not have to shell out the €25m or so that Barcelona are demanding for Ronaldinho.

Milan general manager is currently in Catalonia finalising the transfer, and it is expected that Ronaldinho will officially be a Rossonero player within 48 hours.

In order to speed up the move, the Brazilian will refuse to turn up to pre season training with the Blaugrana tomorrow, with his brother and agent, Roberto De Assis, instead demanding an immediate transfer. Barca, who are currently engrossed in some internal conflict, are unlikely to put up much of a fight.

Ronaldo To Join Flamengo

Crocked Selecao star Ronaldo will join Flamengo once he recovers from his serious injury, according to the Brazilian club. Does this signal the end of El Fenomeno’s Serie A career?

Ronaldo’s future in football has been uncertain for quite a while now, due to both his injury and contractual situation.

The 32-year-old severed a tendon in his knee playing for Milan against Livorno in February, which at first placed his whole career in jeopardy.

After a successful operation in Paris, it was revealed that he would be out of action for at least nine months, although a more likely return date was said to be in 2009.

Although Ronaldo’s rehabilitation is said to be going well, and well ahead of schedule, his contract at Milan expired at the end of June, and the Italian club have refused to offer him a new deal until he can prove his fitness.

It now seems they have lost the player for good, as Brazilian club Flamengo, who Ronaldo has never hidden his love for, claim that they have a deal to sign the striker.

“We have a deal with the players’ agent,” Flamengo President Marcio Braga told Globoesporte.

“As soon as he has recovered from the injury, we will sit around a table and complete the paperwork.

“Flamengo’s medical staff are personally following his physical progress, and Ronaldo will be this club’s top priority.”

This news means that it is highly possible that Ronaldo has played his final ever game in Serie A. He wore the shirt of Inter from 1997 to 2002, and that of Milan from January 2007 to June 2008.

Reports: Dinho Says Yes To Man City
According to the Televisiò de Catalunya and Sport.es, Ronaldinho has snubbed a move to Milan and agreed to join Manchester City.

Ronaldinho’s next destination has become something of a saga this summer, but over the last few days it had seemed almost certain that he would be joining Milan.

This morning it was reported in O Globo, the Gazzetta dello Sport and El Mundo Deportivo that the Brazilian was set to execute FIFA’s Article 17 in order to sign for Milan for a small fee, with the transfer going through within the next 48 hours.

However, in a potentially sensational turnaround, the Televisiò de Catalunya and Sport.es have claimed that Ronaldinho has snubbed Milan in order to join Manchester City.

The Blues have been consistently linked with Dinho in recent months, but it was always believed that the player never really had any intention of moving to England.

This news has reached Italy, where it is being claimed that the reports are just bogus, as the Televisiò de Catalunya and Sport.es are known to be very close to Barcelona, and are simply attempting to raise the transfer fee for when Ronaldinho does indeed join Milan.

Ronaldinho Milan Move Set After Barça No Show

Ronaldinho failed to turn up for Barcelona's pre-season medical examinations amid reports that an announcement that he has joined AC Milan will be made.

The Brazilian superstar was due back at Camp Nou along with the rest of the squad, but as predicted did not attend and will now be subject to a disciplinary measures by the Catalan club.

That will only happen, of course, if he remains a Barça player for much longer after reports in Italy suggested that a deal to move to Milan will be concluded this week.

One man who is confident that the transfer is all set up is the Rossoneri's Spanish agent, Ernesto Bronzetti, who never misses a chance to have his name in the press.

"I spoke with Ronaldinho as he was leaving Porto Alegre for Barcelona and he told me I want to play for you'," Bronzetti told La Gazzetta dello Sport.

According to the paper, the fee will be a mere €15m because both the Blaugrana and the player want the saga to be finished before pre-season begins in earnest.

Manchester City were reported to have made a mega offer to Barça, but for Ronaldinho it was not about the money and he was never interested in a move to Eastlands once Milan became involved.

A meeting between Barça's technical secretary, Txiki Begiristain, and Milan's vice president, Adriano Galliani, will iron out any remaining problems and a public statement will be made.

MILAN - On his exit from the Lega Calcio Milan lawyer Leandro Cantamessa, who's in constant contact with Adriano Galliani, made the following declarations: 'There is a good chance that Ronaldinho's move to Milan will materialise. There are still some economic problems, but our law office has already prepared the necessary papers. Barcelona president Joan Laporta has confirmed that negotiations with AC Milan for Ronaldinho are ongoing. Agent and brother Roberto de Assis and Milan lawyer Leandro Cantamessa also gave their take.

Joan Laporta and the AC Milan vice-president, Adriano Galliani, were spotted at the Via Veneto restaurant near Camp Nou, where they discussed the possibility of the Brazilian ace moving to San Siro.

Despite having a big-money offer on the table from Manchester City, Ronaldinho is favouring a move to the Italian outfit over the Premier League side.After lunch, Laporta did not wish to talk much about the current state of negotiations between the two clubs.

"We are negotiating," said Laporta when quizzed about whether Ronaldinho was already a player of AC Milan.

When asked about when the deal would be struck, the Barça chairman simply added: "When the time comes" before entering the car and leaving towards Camp Nou.

Ronaldinho's brother and representative, Roberto de Assís, was also in the meeting, having been quoted as saying: "Ronaldinho hopes that this story ends well, in a way that everyone gets happy.

"Everything has been going well so far. Ronaldinho has had a brilliant career, he was magnificent at Barça, but in life everything has its limits and now we want everything to end tranquilly."

Milan's lawyer Leandro Cantamessa, meanwhile, confirmed that most of the paperwork is ready, and there are only some economic details left to be sorted out before Ronaldinho signs for the Rossoneri.

"There is a good chance that Ronaldinho's move to Milan will materialise," he said.

"There are still some economic details to resolve, but our offices have already prepared the necessary paperwork.

"I've talked to [Adriano] Galliani, he was calm even though I want to point out that nothing has been signed yet. Now we are all waiting."
