incearca sa faci un "soft link" numit "linux" care sa indice la "linux-headers-2.6.17-11-generic" si apoi sa pornesti inca o data install-ul driverelor

am observat ca diskul ubuntu nu are driver pentru nvidia dar fedora are??

de ex daca o sa vreau sa schimb pe fedora ea o sa aiba drivere pentru nvidia?

Взял FC6, добавил драйверы, обновления, записал на DVD. Удобно !

Baieti am gasit pe un foorum ce trebuie sa fac inainte de a instala nvidia driver

If you wish to install the NVIDIA Linux graphics driver on a Debian GNU/Linux or Ubuntu system that ships with Xorg 7.x, please ensure that your system meets the following requirements:

* development tools like make and gcc are installed
* the linux-headers package matching the installed Linux kernel is installed
* the pkg-config and xserver-xorg-dev packages are installed
* the nvidia-glx package has been uninstalled with the --purge option and the file /etc/init.d/nvidia-glx does not exist.

If you use Ubuntu, please also ensure that the linux-restricted-modules packages have been uninstalled. Alternatively, you can edit the /etc/default/linux-restricted-modules configuration file and disable the NVIDIA linux-restricted kernel modules (nvidia, nvidia_legacy) via:

DISABLED_MODULES="nv"

Так, опять я дорвался до этого топика... :innocent:

О всезнающие, подскажите плиз, какой Линукс лучше использовать для начала...всегда пользовался Виндоусом, но тут я гляжу страшная напасть грядёт с этими "проверками", да и надоел он мне...
Короче нужен самый простой в применение, похожий близко на Винду (думаю такое имеется), а то не так довно скачал какой-то Линукс, зашёл в него - оказался он для меня как иной мир - ничего непонятно...
Мне надо токо музыку слушать , фильмы сотреть, по интернету лазить (естествено) и ICQ...больще ничего от своего железа не жду уже...
И чтоб не надо было такого, чтоб найти файл писать волшебные-линукс слова - я в этом нюб, сорри :'-(

PS без глупостей типо дальше "используй то, что знаеш" >_<
