EXCITING NEWS: Actress Yvonne Strahovski (Chuck) has joined the cast of Dexter! Strahovski, who will appear in a multi-episode story arc in the upcoming seventh season, will play the role of Hannah McKay, a strong, independent woman with a past that she's struggled to put behind her. Dexter returns Sunday, September 30th at 9PM ET/PT only on Showtime Networks.

Dexter («Декстер») продолжает набирать актеров в новый, седьмой по счету, сезон. Как сообщает Entertainment Weekly, к шоу присоединится Мэтт Джеральд («Удушье», «Аватар») на долгоиграющую роль преступника из рабочего класса.

На прошлой неделе, напомним, к сериалу примкнула Катя Винтер, которой предстоит сыграть русскую стриптизершу. А еще раньше свои роли в «Декстере» получили Рэй Стивенсон (лидер преступной группировки из Восточной Европы) и Джейсон Гедрик (менеджер стрип-клуба).

К съемкам планируют приступить в этом месяце в Лос-Анджелесе. Премьерный эпизод выйдет в эфир телеканала Showtime 30-го сентября.

Ресурс TV Guide обстоятельно поговорил с продюсером «Декстера» Сарой Коллитон о грядущем сезоне сериала, отмеренном всему проекту времени, новых героях и новых отношениях со старыми. Да, больше никаких продлений — обещанные каналом Showtime два сезона (седьмой и восьмой) станут для шоу точно последними. Становятся известны новые факты из биографии героини Ивонн Страховски — новенькой в сериале, а сам Декстер Морган получит от сценаристов букет новых ощущений, которые раньше ему не доводилось испытывать.

Коллитон официально подтвердила, что восьмой сезон станет для «Декстера» последним. Интересно, что сами авторы предпочли бы ограничиться одним — седьмым — сезоном, но телесеть настояла на более масштабном продлении. Обещано, что качество материала от навязанного каналом решения не пострадает — сценаристам ещё есть, что предложить своему протагонисту и его ближайшему окружению.

Всплыли новые факты о Ханне МакКей в исполнении Ивонн Страховски, сильной и загадочной женщине, которая появится в новых сериях. В анонсированном тёмном прошлом героини найдётся место кровавому преступлению, в которое её вовлекает бойфренд. Их поймают, а Ханне предложат дать против него показания, которые отправят его в тюрьму, а ей позволят начать новую жизнь. Сейчас ей за тридцать, и она самая нежелательная кандидатура для знакомства с Декстером: омут этот вроде бы уже тихий, но воды темны и глубоки.

Марии ЛаГуэрте (Лорен Велез) будет предложена новая головоломка и моральная дилемма, замешанная на, как считалось, закрытом деле мясника из Бэй-Харбора. Дебре Морган (Дженнифер Карпентер) будет совсем тяжело, так как она вынуждена разбираться с внутренними конфликтами другого, куда более личного порядка, с которыми Деб приходится иметь дело уже в финале сезона номер шесть.

Также продюсер дала понять, что два оставшихся сезона можно при желании рассматривать, как единое финальное действие в двух актах.
